Tropical Smoothie Café franchisee Meritage Restaurant Group has secured a deal to open its next location of the quick-service concept.
The fast-casual concept is headed for the Sandy Plains Centre.
Meritage earlier this month received its permit from Cobb County to build out the new Tropical Smoothie, at 2960 Shallowford Road.
The restaurant has since been added to the shopping center’s marketing materials.
Tropical Smoothie will occupy suite 20 of Sandy Plains Centre, according to the project’s site plan.
The new outpost is one of 10 cafés planned in Cobb and Cherokee counties set to open over the next four under the direction of Meritage. 13 additional locations are in the works under different franchisees.
In 2017, the fast-casual chain opened over 100 new locations, a company spokesperson in an email this week told What Now Atlanta.
An additional 187 agreements are in place for Tropical Smoothie nationwide adding to the already-opened 630 locations across the country.
The brand is looking to reach 1,000 locations by 2020.
