The golf entertainment company submitted a building permit application to City of Atlanta Thursday to build the facility, at 1600 Ellsworth Industrial Blvd. NW, approximately three miles from Atlantic Station and the Georgia Institute of Technology, on previously vacant land.

This permit filing comes nearly a month after Topgolf announced it would break ground on the 65,000-square-foot facility.

The new three-level location, constructed by ARCO/Murray, will include approximately 3,000 square feet of private event space and 102 climate-controlled hitting bays that can host up to six players at one time, serving an estimated 450,000 visitors in its first year of operation.

An estimated $8,500,000 will be spent constructing the “new three-story driving range building with a restaurant and bar,” according to the permit application.

Founded in 2000, Topgolf welcomed its 10 millionth visitor in history last November.

  1. Drove by there Wednesday afternoon and they had started taking down trees. Amazing to think they can fit it over there. Also amazing that no developers bought the land for apts first. Developers would pay way more for this acreage for apts than any other use like this.

  2. We need more entertainment options like this ITP. Not only is there a dearth of decent driving ranges for golfers ITP but this is also a great entertainment venue. People in Atlanta don’t care about the Aquarium or Coke Museum. Will be a great addition to the area and will make money hand over fist like their other locations. The Alpharetta one is killing it.

  3. I live right down the street from where they are building this, and I can’t wait. I think it is going to be an amazing addition to the Westside. Anyone can enjoy this place. It is not just for golfers. Plus, it will be half a block from the Beltline eventually.

  4. Agree to all above! I am a Top Golf member and I am indeed looking forward to this location. I live in town and look forward to a nearby location to hit a few balls.

  5. Excited for this! I am not a golfer and visited the other TopGolf location and LOVED IT. Had so much fun for our team event. I am excited that there are more attractions and fun things coming to Atlanta and are filling in void spaces ITP.
