Top Flr Opening New Concept on Edgewood Avenue

TOP FLR restaurant and bar on Myrtle Street in Midtown, one of Atlanta’s best known secrets, has big plans for a similar eatery. This two story hot spot offers a bar and lounge on the lower level and is known for the urban and aberrant dining space on the second floor.

With an a la carte menu, diners can expect to enjoy a savory and piquant meal and leave with a wallet that matches a full stomach.

Coming this March, 2010, TOP FLR is opening a similar concept on Edgewood Avenue. This new locale will continue with the two story theme; a bar/lounge on the lower level and dining on the top floor.

One of the main differences between the current location and the new will be an innovative music element.

The new location will have a nightclub type feel with a DJ located by the first level bar — a New York style dining atmosphere. Co-owner and former DJ Jeff Myers must be the mastermind behind this nightclub vibe.  If this new restaurant/nightclub is anything like the current TOP FLR restaurant and bar, then Atlanta is in for a real treat.  Update to follow as the story develops.

  1. Can’t wait for this new place to open. I hope you have the same top chefs, like Andrew Wissel, that you had in midtown when I ate there last year.

  2. Edgewood/Auburn really has some awesome freaking bones, lots of neat old buildings and a ton of untapped potential. If it really does start to take off, I could definitely see it helping downtown’s slow revival pick up the pace.
