Tin Lizzy’s Cantina has opened its relocated Midtown restaurant and with it brought a new name — Tin Lizzy’s Taco Americana. Replacing Princi Italia, the new taqueria features made-to-order cocktails, tacos, and “surfer-cool vibes.” Situated on the corner of Crescent and 12th Street, the new Tin Lizzy’s Taco Americana is the first in parent company Southern Proper Hospitality’s launch of the revamped version of the Tin Lizzy’s Cantina brand, according to a press release Tuesday.

“Inspired by the relaxed, breezy West Coast city of Palm Springs — the desert oasis known for its midcentury modern architecture and California-cool lifestyle — Tin Lizzy’s Taco Americana offers guests refreshing cocktails and delicious dishes while surrounded by cool design elements,” according to the release. The newly refreshed space features white oak paneling, “bold” textiles, and vintage-style artwork. The all-weather patio offers cafe tables, plants, and a clear canopy.

“While this new location may look and feel different from the others, our mission remains the same: we’re committed to giving guests a unique taqueria experience with service rooted in genuine hospitality,” Chris Hadermann, Southern Proper Hospitality co-founder and partner, said in the release. “Whether stopping by for a tasty lunch, a top-notch cocktail or fun night out on the year-round patio, Tin Lizzy’s Taco Americana is a close-by escape from the ordinary.”

In addition to tacos that “break all the rules” — like buttermilk fried chicken, Korean barbecue, and Philly cheesesteak — Tin Lizzy’s Taco Americana features a brand-new beverage menu centered around just-squeezed margaritas.
