Signage posted to the restaurant’s door confirms Thumbs Up Diner’s closure.

Owners for the restaurant, at 174 W Ponce de Leon Avenue, cite climbing rents as the culprit behind closing down.

“We urge everyone to use their voices to protest the rising rents in this area,” according to the signage posted to the restaurant’s front door.

“Unfortunately, it’s too late for us but you may be able to save other local businesses.”

Thumbs Up Diner has been in business for a decade in Decatur.

No word on what might open in place of the breakfast-all-day eatery.

Remaining locations are open in East Point, Douglasville, Old Fourth Ward, Roswell, and the Westside.
