Kendra Bauser is the mind behind Three Peaches Gelato, a new ice cream parlor focused on making healthy desserts as delicious as possible. Bauser is taking their first-ever concept to The Municipal Market, at 209 Edgewood Ave.
Bauser started Three Peaches Gelato about two years ago with that very goal in mind: healthy and delicious ice cream. Being lactose intolerant themselves, Bauser decided to pursue this idea on a serious level. “It’s always been my passion, to be health-conscious.” While operating Three Peaches Gelato outside of the market, they saw a good opportunity: “I was selling at the Garden Market at the front entrance and saw that a space was open,” they told What Now Atlanta (WNA). While there was always the goal of expansion and opening up a brick and mortar space, Bauser didn’t expect it to happen so soon. “It’s just funny because I had this end goal that’s the thing I wanted to go towards,” the ice cream parlor owner said. “I didn’t think my second year in service that I’d be here.”
Three Peaches Gelato’s success came from the surprisingly big market for sugar-free and healthy stuff. The menu consists of dairy-free gelato, shakes, and coffee. You can order gelato with dark chocolate or caramel vegan sauce. Bauser says “your new happy place” will open sometime in January.
