“We think that the Gwinnett Stripers’ stadium is pretty important to the economy of Buford, and also to the community of Buford as well,” Babwari tells What Now Atlanta. “Our goal with Three Dollar Cafe was to sort of bring the community together. So we can have people all over the community come together – families can come together, people who want to talk business can come together, people who just want to enjoy the game and just want to relax can come and enjoy the game with us. So what we really made is an environment that’s enjoyable for both the sports fan and the casual restaurant-goer.”

While Three Dollar Cafe is largely known for its chicken wings, the Coolray Field outpost will feature an elevated spin on the brand and its design, with menu additions and even cocktails.

“We want to provide everyone with an environment that’s very welcoming and an experience that’s a little bit more upscale than they expect the regular Three Dollar Cafe to be,” says Babwari.

In addition to operating Three Dollar Cafe, Ali and Babwari will also be opening an illy Caffé at Atlantic Station around May or June, followed by another at the Ford Factory Lofts in June or July.
