The Hall, founded by Jamal Wilson in 2017, launched its search in October as part of its plans for four locations by the end of next year: Dunwoody, Orlando, Midtown Tampa, and Nashville. The winner could choose to open their restaurant in any of The Hall’s five locations, a spokesperson Tuesday told What Now Atlanta in an email. “The winner will receive a vendor spot at The Hall location of their choosing (rent and equipment included),” they said.

“Chefs and culinary artists are the heartbeat of our social connection, creating memorable experiences and meaningful conversations through creativity and delicious food,” Wilson said at the launch of the contest. “The food industry has always been challenging to break into — we want to lower these barriers. There’s so much culinary talent available and we’re excited to offer an opportunity to help established and emerging chefs live their dreams.”
