A 1,822-square-foot space, at 341 Marietta Street NW, is the targetted spot.

Converting the space into the casual beverage concept, includes new partitions, flooring, ceiling, and finishes, is expected to carry a $130,000 price tag.

Owners Chelsea and Logan Green have been in the ice cream business since 2011, first with the opening of their Island Ice Cream shop and later when they debuted Yard Milkshake Bar in Gulf Shores, Ala. in 2016.

Chelsea says in a press statement that she got the idea for this new shop after experimenting with some milkshakes at Island Ice Cream.

“I love combining the flavors and toppings to make new creations,” Chelsea said.

“I wanted our customers to be able to come up with their own milkshakes and sundaes easily.”

The menus are designed like checklists where customers can pick from 28 ice cream flavors, eight cookie doughs, and 40 toppings including doughnuts, cotton candy and chocolate-dipped bacon to create a shake or sundae.

The proposed location is in downtown Atlanta near Centennial Olympic Park, adjacent to Stats, Der Biergarten and Twin Smokers BBQ … and a two-minute walk from the classic shakes at Luckie Street’s Johnny Rockets.
