Taco joint finalizes plans to open at Atlanta airport.

The Original El Taco, Fifth Group’s Mexican restaurant situated in Virginia-Highland, will open its second location at the airport’s new international terminal.

The Mexican restaurant submitted an application to City of Atlanta Monday for a building permit to begin construction on its new restaurant space situated at Harsfield-Jackson.

An estimated $426,140 will be spent to build-out the tiny 694-square-foot El Taco restaurant, according to the application. It will open near Yeah Burger at the International Concourse F section of the airport.

What Now Atlanta spoke to Michael Erickson, Fifth Group’s director of Marketing. Erickson did not have any additional information.

Fifth Group’s other restaurants include South City Kitchen Midtown, South City Kitchen Vinings, La Tavola Trattoria, Ecco, The Original El Taco Virginia-Highland and Alma Cocina, according to the restaurant group’s website.

Fifth Group’s newest restaurant Lure will open in the now-shuttered Vickery’s Midtown space.

  1. You’ve already had multiple people telling you that Yeah Burger wasnt going to be opening in the Airport, why post about it again without answering those responses?
