The 17-story tower, being developed by OliverMcMillan of The Shops Buckhead Atlanta, will be erected on land where HiFi Buys sits.
OliverMcMillan Wednesday released fresh renderings and details for its The Office Buckhead Atlanta project, a 17-story high rise with 330,000 square feet of Class A office and 30,000 square-feet of ground level retail and restaurants at 300 East Paces Ferry Road.
“The Office will provide forward-looking companies a prestigious address and a unique opportunity to be located in the region’s most sought-after mixed-used destination,” Jeff Zeigler, Senior Managing Director of Retail Services for OliverMcMillan, said in a prepared statement.
“We are proud to play a role in helping to enhance Buckhead’s already outstanding reputation as a place to live, work and play.”
Designed by Gensler, The Office Buckhead Atlanta will feature “sustainably designed, modern architecture with best-in-class amenities for today’s workforce.”
Plans call for “oversized windows for maximum daylight and panoramic views” of Buckhead, Midtown and Downtown skylines.
The Office Buckhead Atlanta will also include a variety of amenities, from “state-of-the-art technology and a premier fitness center, to space for employees to relax with views of Atlanta.”
The Office Buckhead Atlanta is part of OliverMcMillan’s larger vision for The Shops Buckhead Atlanta, the developer’s adjacent mixed-use project consisting of six-city blocks of retail, dining and fitness.
Construction will begin with the demolition of the old HiFi Buys building at Peachtree St. and Bolling Way, with expected completion by early 2020.
OliverMcMillan earlier this month filed a demolition permit application with City of Atlanta to kick-off the construction process.

Deming Fish and Scott O’Halloran of Colliers International will market The Office Buckhead Atlanta for lease.

Apparently, good if not great architecture was not part of the building’s program. Not intending to be snarky but there is just a sameness to these facades and nothing that could be called visually interesting.
