The ‘upscale’ sports bar is taking over the Grammy-winning rapper’s recently-shuttered restaurant.
T.I.’s short-lived restaurant venture Scales 925 downtown will soon reopen as The League Tavern, according to signage at the space and a recently registered website.
The imprint of the words “Scales 925” is still visible under the new “The League Tavern” signage, an appendage to the former restaurant’s existing black awnings.
The League Tavern, at 30 Ivan Allen Jr Blvd NW #125, would open as an “upscale sports bar” and would also act as an event space for corporate events and weddings under the name The League Events.
It’s unclear who’s behind the new downtown eatery.
A landscaper at the property maintaining the grounds earlier this week told What Now Atlanta the building’s landlord is opening the forthcoming The League Tavern, and as early as mid-November.
Several job postings for the sports bar seeking “League Ladies” from earlier this year have since been removed from sites like Craigslist, Indeed, and Jobs In USA.
Scales 925 shuttered after employees filed a lawsuit alleging unpaid wages and the landlord served an eviction notice over unpaid rent.

The League Tavern is going to be some what like the 40/40 Club, upscale sports bar. Over 50 TVs, 175 ft TV wall constructed of 9 TVs to show 1 image. No other sports bar has this technology in Atlanta like this. This is going to be a game changer in the sports bar industry!
