Chef Ron Eyester closed the eatery nearly two months ago, and the sale to South Capital Partners is now complete.

The Family Dog is hiring for all positions now, but no specifics have been announced regarding any changes to the restaurant. It did, however, confirm on Facebook that live music will continue to be a staple at the pub.

A reopening date has not yet been set, but stay tuned for further details as they become available!

  1. The Family Dog is a perfect room for smaller accoustic shows, one man or two man shows. As a regular there (and a musician) I was so often disappointed when I showed up and was charged a cover to come in and be overpowered by a shitty band and had to shout at the top of my lungs to have my friend who was standing right next to me hear what I was saying. If the room is going to have live music, it NEEDS proper sound baffling. It is a boxy brick walled space and thus any volume at all completely dominates the room and conversation becomes impossible which really kills the vibe.
