The duo is planning to open the first location of their bedroom furnishings retail store The Bed Company in the Amsterdam Walk shopping center, at 500 Amsterdam Avenue, Suite L4.

The Bed Company should open November 18 in space formerly occupied by Rescued Treasures, Ryan Donovan told What Now Atlanta in a telephone interview Monday.

The Bed Company will retail beds, bedding, drapery, and pillows, showcasing 13 “bedroom styles” that can be purchased as a package.

The Donovans are looking to keep the bed-buying experience from becoming a nightmare.

Guests will be greeted with fruit-infused water and champagne, set off with a sleep-inducing atmosphere of scented candles, oils and music.

And to make sure guests leave with the bed of their dreams, The Bed Company hopes to educate customers on correct comfort levels for the best possible night’s sleep.

Nishi and Ryan Donovan are combining the best of their talents to create The Bed Company.

Nishi owns Nishi Design+Studio, a full service design boutique, and Ryan, President of Upper Echelon Marketing, has independently consulted for Ashley Furniture Industries for nearly 11 years.
