The space, at 525 10th Street NW, is available for lease, according to a listing held by The Shumacher Group.

“Key money,” a down payment of sorts required to take over the lease, is priced at $289,000 with some owner financing.

Rent on the 2,540-square-foot Tech Taco space is $7,500 per month, “all in.”

There is seating for 90 inside and a patio for 42.

A new tenant could come in and open a Mexican eatery or any concept that wouldn’t compete with its neighbors.

Excluded uses include donuts, Chinese, Thai, and Pizza.

Before it was Tech Taco, the available space operated as City Cafe Diner.

  1. Too expensive for local vendors to get a shot? Nothing screams urbanization like the addition of mainstream chain establishments! Just a little slice of OTP for us homesick midtown residents.

But in all honesty, congratulations… go commerce !

  2. What could be better in a College Dormitory than Taco Bell! Super convenient when students are wanting that “Fourth Meal” 😉
