A new eatery, Bonafide Deluxe, is headed to 1454 La France Street in Edgewood, according to a building permit application filed with the City of Atlanta. Signage posted at the site declares “coming soon! epic sandwiches,” according to Atlanta Business Chronicle, which reports the team behind the new restaurant is the very same that brought Banshee to East Atlanta Village.

From partners Peter Chvala, Nolan Wynn, Katie McDonald, and Faielle Bolzan Stocco, Bonafide Deluxe will open in a new development from Columbia Ventures, LLC, which sits adjacent to the Edgewood/Chandler Park MARTA station.
A representative from Columbia Ventures, LLC told Atlanta Business Chronicle the sandwiches in question will be crafted with custom-baked bread and local ingredients. You can expect a creative flare from Chef Wynn, as well as a full bar.
According to the building permit, the 2,006 square-foot space will undergo $287,000 of renovations for the buildout. DeCarlo Hawker is listed as the design/architecture firm.
We reached out to Chvala for comment but did not hear back at the time of publication. Bonafide Deluxe is reportedly shooting for a later summer opening.

Nice. This is the best I’ve seen a new development do at really engaging the Beltline trail/row.
As a former resident of Studioplex, I am saddened by this path to the clear sell-out. This was a place for artists and such and now it’s bought in to the overpriced gentrification model of the area. I am really saddened by this choice and it doesn’t bring any flavor or diversity to this area of town.
Yes, what we need over there are more restaurants. /s
I used to go to the Aviary, but it’s impossible to use now with the construction noise and no parking.
