The two-day, three-session event will feature Alpharetta chefs and restaurants and is open for guests 21+. Taste Around Town offers a lineup of food and drink, live music in the evenings, and cooking demonstrations during the day.

“The event will safely welcome food and drink aficionados to savor bites and sips from a diverse roster of favorite restaurants, wine, beer and cocktail tastings,” according to the release. The outdoor event will be held under the pavilion at Union Hill Park, at 1590 Little Pine Trail in Alpharetta. Taste Around Town is produced by Taste of Atlanta in partnership with the City of Alpharetta and Alpharetta Convention and Visitors Bureau.

Highlights of the all-inclusive event include unlimited bites, bottomless beer, wine and cocktail tastings, cooking demos, and live music. Participating restaurants include Bocado, Cattle Shed Wine & Steak Bar, Loyal Q & Brew, Secreto Southern Kitchen & Bar, Yumbii, and many more.

Each restaurant is bringing its own “taste” prepared by the city’s top Chefs. Every session will allow attendees to vote on the coveted “Best Taste” award and deem that skillful Chef’s bite as the greatest. In addition to savoring tastes and sips from the stars of Alpharetta’s restaurant scene, event goers will take in the tunes of live music from Lilac Wine and Saved by the Band.

Taste Around Town is a hyper-local event created by Taste of Atlanta Founder, Dale DeSena, with a commitment to “providing a top-notch food and drink tasting event while supporting the local hospitality community.”

“Taste of Atlanta is committed to building greater awareness and support for the chefs, their restaurants and staff who work tirelessly to provide patrons with delicious food and drink experiences that we all cherish,” according to the release. To aid in the hospitality industry’s current staffing crisis, DeSena and team have created a Culinary Job Bank for restaurants and culinary partners of Taste of Atlanta to help fill open positions with job eligible candidates.

“When we talk with chefs and restaurants, finding good employees is always at the top of their list of challenges,” DeSena said. “With an immense number of job opportunities available, Taste of Atlanta is committed to projects that inspire and encourage people to pursue meaningful careers in foodservice to help our restaurant communities be successful.”
