The 3,661 square-foot space, at 3393 Peachtree Road NE, can accommodate 32 guests inside, with an additional 14 outdoor seats.
Earlier this year, Sweetgreen made its Atlanta debut and partnered with TILA Studios to spotlight the work of emerging Black women artists in the community. As a continuation of its partnership with TILA, Sweetgreen Lenox Square will feature the work of Atlanta-based artist and photographer Michelle Norris.
On opening day, for every meal sold, Sweetgreen donated a meal to its local impact partner, Umi Feeds, an organization dedicated to serving the hungry and homeless.
Founded in 2007, Sweetgreen now operates more than 100 restaurants serving from-scratch eats using fresh ingredients and produce delivered every morning. The salad chain earlier this year announced its plan to be carbon neutral by 2027.
“Simply put, we believe it’s the right thing to do for our business and for the planet,” Nicolas Jammet, co-founder and Chief Concept Officer of Sweetgreen, said in a release at the time. “With the food system driving 25 percent of global greenhouse gas emissions, the time for change is now. We know that real change doesn’t happen overnight – it’s all the steps in between, the little moments that can lead to a big impact. That’s why we’re making this commitment.”
