Tenth Street Ventures has opened Studio9Forty in Midtown.

The multifamily project, at 940 Piedmont Avenue, is reminiscent of Studio 54 in its blend of art, architecture, and technology.

“We’re motivated to breathe new life into established neighborhoods with imaginative and affordable projects,” Brian McCarthy, a principal at Tenth Street Ventures, said in a press release last week.

“We design homes people will be proud of, using the best in art, design, and technology.”

The Studio9Forty project has 24 studios and one-bedrooms for rent, starting in the low $1,400s per month.

“An innovative feature is that renters will be allowed to Airbnb their units to make them even more affordable, especially for people who travel frequently,” according to the release.

Most apartments prohibit any kind of subletting, especially as short-term vacation rentals.

Leasing is now underway.

McCarthy and his partners at Tenth Street Ventures are currently rehabbing other older buildings while keeping them “more affordable than what’s on the market.”
