Studio Movie Grill To Premiere in Marietta November 16

The dine-in theatre concept is the third Atlanta-area location for the entertainment chain.

Studio Movie Grill, a dine-in theatre concept, will premiere in Marietta Thursday, November 16, according to a press release Wednesday.

The new Studio Move Grill, at 40 Powers Ferry Road, is the chain’s third Atlanta-area theatre.

The 49,000-square-foot space has 11 dine-in auditoriums totaling 1285 seats, a front lounge, bar and outdoor patio.

“Studio Movie Grill’s new prototype is a marriage of 25 years of in-theatre dining expertise and execution,” Ted Low, Senior Director of Brand and Creative for Studio Movie Grill, said in the release.

“Our trademark design materials are now combined with an open-air bar and lounge area complimenting SMG’s immersive movie-going experience. SMG Marietta is equal parts design, technology, and southern hospitality.  It’s truly a place to relax, unwind, and have some fun.”

Each auditorium has custom-built “Inorca® VIP leather recliners” and “state-of-the-art Dolby sound with NEC laser projection to ensure the most comfortable cinematic viewing.”

There’s also built-in tabletops and “push for service” call buttons at your seat.

To celebrate the opening, $3 online only tickets with the code “SMGMARIETTA” will be offered from November 16 through December 6At the box office tickets will be $9 for adults, $6 for children and $7 for matinees.

A Grand Opening Party will be held Friday.

The Bull’s Morning Show host Kristen Gates will emcee opening night festivities which include a free 7 p.m. showing of Justice League for the first 100 people who line-up starting at 5 p.m. All attendees who come between 5 and 7 p.m. will also be eligible for a drawing for free movie tickets.

The opening of Studio Movie Grill Marietta marks the company’s 29th location across nine states.
