Museum Bar to open in 15,000 square foot historic church

Will God turn water to wine at “Indulge,” their Sunday brunch?

Museum Bar is opening on Jan. 21, Downtown.

Located at 181 Ralph David Abernathy boulevard in the historic St. Stephen’s Missionary Baptist Church, the venue will operate as a full service restaurant, bakery, and nightclub as well as three separate lounges.

The menu? “Seafood, poultry, salads and pasta in an upscale dining environment Tuesday through Saturday.”

Sunday brunch will include food, drinks and dancing as part of an event entitled, “Indulge.”

Just think, the confessional will be right around the corner.

But first, make sure and check out the Vodka bar in the main dining room, an outdoor terrace complete with Atlanta skyline views, and a bakery with cakes, cupcakes and specialty desserts.

The live musical performances on an indoor concert stage from some local talent weekly and a house DJ playing tunes daily won’t be anything you’ll find in your church hymnal.

Interior designer, Jim Weinberg, known for designing various New York and San Fransisco restaurants, will design Museum Bar.

Sounds like the perfect recipe for good ole southern, bible belt comfort.
