Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants has been awarded the management contract for the property just north of the international terminal at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport.

Solis first opened late-2017, at 2 Porsche Drive.

Kimpton Overland Hotel features 214 guest rooms, including 17 executive suites, nine-track view suites, with floor-to-ceiling windows offering panoramic views of the Porsche track and airport runway, and one presidential suite.

“The Kimpton Overland Hotel presented the perfect opportunity for us to further establish our presence in Georgia and expand our portfolio in the Southeast,” Mike DeFrino, CEO at Kimpton, said in the release.

“The property’s distinctive features and accessible location to the world’s busiest airport will make the Overland a unique addition to our portfolio. We look forward to delighting guests with the brand’s trademark amenities—in-room yoga mats, pet friendliness and a hosted evening wine hour—and Kimpton’s heartfelt service.”

The Overland features a restaurant, Apron, and covered, open-air rooftop space, Overdrive Lounge, as well as 24/7 in-room dining.

Apron, located on the hotel’s first floor, has 102 indoor seats along with 30 on its outdoor deck, serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner and boasts a Mediterranean-inspired menu.

Overdrive Lounge on the property’s eighth floor provides guests with views of the Porsche Experience Center test track and airport runways, cocktails, live music and a small menu of shared plates and desserts.

Owned by ACRON USA, the Overland will be Kimpton’s second hotel in Georgia, joining its Kimpton Brice Hotel in Savannah, and marks the fifth hotel in Kimpton’s Southeast portfolio joining boutique destination hotels in Charlotte, Nashville, Savannah and Winston-Salem.

  1. Big parking lot, but for some reason they force you to use the valet service. If you haven’t experienced the pain of needing to wait for your car for no reason when it’s parked 50 feet from you, this is the experience for you. The hotel is great though… last two times I stayed there I just parked in the empty lot adjacent to the hotel property, it was more convenient.
