Playa Bowls is planned for 2385 Clower Street SW, according to a building permit application with Gwinnett County. The 1,472-square-foot space is planned for suite 201.
Playa Bowls was founded by longtime surfers Robert Giuliani and Abby Taylor in 2014. The menu includes açaí, pitaya, mango, green and coconut bowls decorated with a variety of toppings, such as granola, fruit, honey, coconut flakes and more. The menu also includes oatmeal, juices, smoothies and cold brew. The shops offer many dairy-free and gluten-free options.
There are nearly 300 Playa Bowls locations across the U.S., including eight in Georgia. As previously reported by What Now Atlanta, the fast-casual franchise is also expected to open an additional location at Powers Ferry Square on Roswell Road.
Multi-unit Playa Bowls franchisee Nick Ransom confirmed he will operate the upcoming Snellville location, the next step in his journey of growing Playa Bowls in the Peach State.
