Set to debut fall 2022, at 200 Edgewood Avenue, Slice’s second edition, 2,500 square-foot space will mirror the Fairlie-Poplar sister location and concept while serving as an amenity and hangout spot for GSU student housing residents, GK|CRE, the real estate firm that represented landlord Student Quarters in the lease, told What Now Atlanta.
“Similar to our other redevelopment efforts in the neighborhood, we are committed to activating spaces around Downtown and Sweet Auburn by partnering with local businesses to highlight local culture,” Ted Bradford, a broker with GK|CRE, said in a prepared statement. “Slice is already a downtown favorite and bringing it to the GSU community aligns with our mission to contribute to Downtown Atlanta and a growing student campus culture.”
Reps for the “New York meets Atlanta” pizzeria on Friday did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
“We’re all about putting our personal spin on things, whether literally (all our New York-style pies are hand-tossed) or figuratively (with specialty pies ranging from sweet pea to loaded baked potato),” the restaurant’s website states. “Our commitment to customer service is the same way. Whether you’re dining in, getting delivery, or picking up by the slice, you can expect the best every time.”
