Keia Legree’s Shuga Rose is a new bar in town that’s already begun developing its social media presence. On May 18th, Shuga Rose made its first ‘coming soon’ announcement, sharing the bar’s sign over its newly secured address at 2317 Cascade Road in Cascade Heights.

And just last month, Shuga Rose shared, “Since our coming soon sign was put up we have received nothing but love and support from the historic community Cascade Heights.” The eatery, which will serve up tacos, tapas, and tequila, has also begun the liquor license application process for the address.

It is likely, however, that Shuga Rose will not be able to move forward at this location. Speaking with What Now Atlanta, Legree said it is most likely the restaurant will have to find a new home. Legree did not share the circumstances that led to the change, and it sounds as though Shuga Rose does not yet have a new location secured.

Shuga Rose’s most recent opening projection is this fall. So while you wait, you can show your support by following Shuga Rose on Instagram and keeping an eye on the eatery’s website.
