After seeing a booming post-COVID business increase, The Yard Milkshake Bar is looking to set up shop in a new spot at Buckhead’s Modera Prominence.
“Man, the people of Atlanta showed up big time for us!” Cheri Johnson, owner of the Atlanta franchise rights, told What Now Atlanta Tuesday.
The new unit at 3699 Lenox Road is awaiting construction approval. It is estimated to cost around $350,000 for about 2500 square footage of space.
“We knew we had some specific needs for this location. First, we wanted parking – we have none downtown and it’s frustrating for our team and customers. We also wanted more room, some outdoor seating and also greenspace, so we weren’t strictly bound by our seating capacity. We think the Modera Prominence is a perfect place where we can offer all of the above in a bigger spot than what we currently have.”
Those of you unfamiliar with the brand can find it on an episode of TV’s “Shark Tank,” where an offer for $400,000 was made to help build the company back in 2019.
“We never dreamed that so many would come just for us. It’s been overwhelming and awesome and our team handles the crazy with aplomb and grace. We’re super excited to be able to offer a future second location.”
The aforementioned second location is slated to open in early 2022 joining an outpost downtown.
