A project years in the making has required extensive renovation work in the past several months as Owner Leroy McMath hopes to open the new neighborhood hangout spot soon for the community.

“We’re hoping to open by Memorial Day,” he explained. “We want to have a friendly atmosphere. We’ll do oysters and karaoke once a month and want to make it fun for adults.”

The Grille plans to have a wide draft selection with an outdoor patio for guests to enjoy food and drinks.

The bar and grill is planning to have an old-school tavern atmosphere with music and videos from the ’60s, ’70s, and ’80s.

“We will play live music and stream the performances,” McMath added.

He said he had been looking for the right location for Seaside Grille for about a year. After beginning work on it before the pandemic, Gwinnett’s newest hangout spot is finally getting ready to open.

Photos on Seaside Grille’s Instagram page show the progress of some of the renovation work completed in the past year, including the new outdoor patio and new kitchen equipment.

Seaside Grille moves into space previously occupied by The Barn, an oyster bar.
