Saito — Sushi, Steak, and Cocktails Inches Closer Than Ever to An Opening in Regenstein’s Department Store

Saito — Sushi, Steak, and Cocktails is waiting on permits being signed off by the mayor, along with the finishing touches of renovations.

What Now Atlanta (WNA) reported on Saito — Sushi, Steak, and Cocktails’ opening in Downtown last year in a deal with Marx Realty. Now, there’s confirmation that Master Chef Saito Saito’s restaurant is on the brink of opening after over a year of preparation at 19 Andrew Young International Blvd, in Regenstein’s old department store, now rebranded as The Department Store

According to Greg Grant, the business partner of Saito — Sushi, Steak, and Cocktails owner Stephen de Haan, the restaurant is at the tail-end of prepping, “crossing the finish line.” Grant says that Saito — Sushi, Steak, and Cocktails is currently waiting on permits and wrapping up construction. Grant and Haan are trying to get the mayor to sign off on everything as soon as possible.

While Saito — Sushi, Steak, and Cocktails’ owners are hoping for an opening by the end of the year. Grant told WNA that they’ll know more by the end of this week.
