Restaurant chain to close up to 33 other under-performing stores this year.

Ruby Tuesday has shuttered its Decatur location, according to Decatur Patch.

The restaurant, at 158 W. Ponce de Leon Ave., announced its closing on a sign posted to its front door.

Meridith Hammond, a corporate spokeswoman, told Decatur Patch in an email Wednesday the company plans to close 31 to 33 under-performing restaurants this year.

Ruby Tuesday closed its Decatur location for good  Sunday, May 20. No word on what will open in the restaurant’s place.

  1. That rent it too high for the location. They need to make it a yoga studio already or daycare already and quit blaming decatur for the ‘cursed’ space.
