Rreal Tacos officially opened its doors Monday at 5070 Peachtree Industrial Boulevard, said Damian Otero, who owns the concept with Miguel Hernandez.
“But, we did a very soft opening over weekend,” Otero said. “We figured we’d open the doors, and if someone walks in, great. Within an hour, we got slammed. We had to call in employees from other locations.”
The Chamblee restaurant marks Rreal Tacos’ third location. It also operates in Midtown and West Midtown.
The team will expand next to Sandy Springs and has signed a lease at 227 Sandy Springs Place NE, Suite 506.
That restaurant should open in March, Otero said.
More expansion is in the works. The team is scouting locations in Buckhead, Decatur and Alpharetta. The timeline on those new restaurants is still in the works, Otero said.
Rreal Tacos strives to recreate tacos from various regions of Mexico, according to a press release. That includes asada from northeastern Monterrey, birria barbacoa from Guadalajara, and taco al pastor, one of Mexico City’s signature tacos.
“We have a very high standard and believe our dishes surpass others because of our unwavering commitment to using the freshest cuts of meat and cooking with ingredients sourced only from Mexico,” Otero said in the press release.
