California-based lifestyle brand Rothy’s is opening its first Atlanta boutique, housed in Westside Provisions District, on Friday, February 11, 2022, the retailer Wednesday announced.
Rothy’s Atlanta joins eight other retail locations for the company in Boston, Chicago, Los Angeles, New York City, San Francisco, and Washington, DC.
Rothy’s was founded in 2012 by Stephen Hawthornthwaite and Roth Martin with the goal of “transforming eco-friendly materials into wardrobe staples that look just as good as they feel,” according to a press release. The brand first launched in 2016 with women’s footwear and has since expanded to shoes, bags, and accessories for men and women.
Using their signature thread spun from 100 percent recycled plastic water bottles, Rothy’s products are eco-friendly, machine-washable essentials for every day. Since its launch, Rothy’s has transformed over 100,000,000 plastic water bottles and 275,000 pounds of ocean-bound marine plastic into footwear, accessories, and bags.
Rothy’s Atlanta is an 899 square-foot retail space, located between Hudson Grace and Design Within Reach. The store’s interior is constructed with FSC certified wood, 100 percent recycled paint, and “other environmentally conscious materials.”
“Atlanta has been on our roadmap for quite some time, and we’re looking forward to bringing the convenience and concierge-level shopping experience of a physical Rothy’s location to our community in Georgia,” Mo Vachon, VP of Retail at Rothy’s, said in the release. “We’ve seen time and time again the powerful impact of Rothy’s brick-and-mortar experience and are thrilled to be joining our new neighbors in Westside Provisions. We hope our community will join us on Friday, February 11th to enjoy local sweets and coffee with our warm, knowledgeable store team.”
The Atlanta location will offer a curated selection of handbags, shoes, and accessories for men and women. Shoppers will have the opportunity to browse styles in person, find the perfect fit and work directly with Rothy’s associates to select their favorite sustainably made pieces. To celebrate the newest store, Rothy’s will be treating their Atlanta shoppers to custom cookies and coffee from Little Tart Bakeshop available in-store on opening day.
Rothy’s at Westside Provisions District, at 1210 Howell Mill Rd NW Suite 104, will be open Monday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. and on Sundays from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m.
