Rock’s Chicken & Fries is heading to Downtown Atlanta, according to a building permit application filed with the city of Atlanta, for an almost 2,500 square-foot location. The restaurant will open across the street from Pemberton Place.
Atlanta’s own Innerworks Design Group will be the architect behind the project, whose construction is estimated at around $250,000.
Rock’s new location will be within walking distance to Pemberton’s many attractions, including the Georgia Aquarium, World of Coca Cola and National Center for Civil and Human Rights. The Centennial Olympic Park is also just a block away.
The location has been teased on the restaurant’s Facebook page since late 2021, including a timeline of the second quarter of 2022.
Rock’s is currently located on the third floor of the Phipps Plaza. They serve all-natural, anti-biotic fried or grilled chicken in the form of sandwiches, wings and tenders. Also on the menu you’ll find hand-cut fries, chopped salad and frozen custard ice cream.
