“We’ve been looking for another space for over a year now, and this spot is perfect for so many reasons,” owner told What Now Atlanta (WNA) in a telephone conversation this week.

“It has a lot of foot traffic, it’s close to the beltline, and there’s lots of new retail and live-work places in the area.”

Riggs moved to Atlanta from California and has been making organic, high-quality doughnuts since starting out at East Atlanta famers markets.

“I felt like we could do something with without any synthetic ingredients. Just because its a treat doesn’t mean it has to be bad for you,” Riggs reasoned.

After Atlantans flocked to the initial farmers market offerings, the first Revolution Doughnuts opened at 908 W College Avenue in Decatur.

Renovations on the new 1,254-square-foot space in Inman Park will cost an estimated $140,000. The shop plans to open in spring 2016.
