Gianni & Mac’s Ristorante Piazza Nostra is planned for 85 Church Street.

The restaurant will serve authentic Italian cuisine for lunch and dinner, including artisanal pizzas. The beverage program will include cocktails and a selection of wines.

There will also be a charcuterie bar, where guests can create their own boards of meats, cheeses and freshly made mozzarella, accompanied by olives, fruits and other charcuterie board staples.

The team behind the restaurant has no shortage of culinary and hospitality experience; Gianni & Mac’s Ristorante Piazza Nostra comes from Gianni Betti and Randy McCray. Betti is the co-owner of Cibo e Beve in Sandy Springs and Toscano Ristorante Italiano at Atlantic Station. McCray, of Mac’s Chophouse and Mac’s Raw Bar, is also the co-owner at The Mill Kitchen and Bar in Roswell.

Gianni & Mac’s Ristorante Piazza Nostra will have an outdoor patio that opens up to a courtyard and park. The name is an ode to both the Marietta destination and Italian traditions of gathering; “Piazza nostra” translates to “our square.”

“I was born in Florence, Italy, and grew up just outside the city, surrounded by vineyards and olive trees,” Betti said in a news release. “The Square has an Italian feeling that reminds me of home; it reminds me of the places where I would meet friends and family in Italy.”

The restaurant is preparing to open by the end of the year, according to the announcement. Betti told What Now Atlanta there will be a better idea of the exact opening timeline soon.
