The team announced partnerships with Brasfield & Gorrie, the general contractor, and Newmark Knight Frank for retail leasing.

In anticipation of future site work, GID recently submitted a land disturbance permit and a space dedicated to leasing and marketing the project will soon open within the 211 Perimeter Center Pkwy office building located on site.

“Central Perimeter is booming with activity and we are eager to introduce a walkable, vertically integrated mixed-use environment that is unique to the market,” James Linsley, President of GID Development Group, said in a press release.

“We are focused on crafting the right mix of uses for the project’s first phase and readying the site for construction.”

Brasfield & Gorrie, behind Atlanta-area projects like 1105 West Peachtree, 725 Ponce, and Omni Hotel at The Battery Atlanta, will lead the construction effort.

High Street’s first phase encompasses 200,000 square feet of retail, 40,000 square feet of new loft office, 600 apartments and world-class public spaces that will host a multitude of events each year.

Construction of the first phase will begin in 2020

The community is designed around an “internal street grid that is pedestrian-friendly and creates connectivity with MARTA,” according to the release.

Dwell Design Studio is the architect of record.

In 2018 GID announced a partnership with Colony Square developer North American Properties for High Street.

That deal is dead.

“The two companies are focusing on their own project pipelines,” a company spokesperson in an email told What Now Atlanta.
