Midtown restaurant and lounge slated for December opening.

Brothers Sean and Gilbert Yeremyan, owners of Gilbert’s Café & Bar, are moving forward with plans to expand the Midtown restaurant into the adjacent Outwrite Bookstore and Coffeehouse space with a new concept, “10th and Piedmont.”

The Yeremyan brothers posted three renderings to 10th and Piedmont’s Facebook page Friday to give fans a sneak peek of the new design.

Feedback over the new look has been positive.

“Beautiful design,” Keith Berman commented on one rendering. “I love it…,” Daniel Fairo posted to 10th and Piedmont’s Facebook wall in response to the space’s new design.

Although access to the 2,500-square-foot 10th and Piedmont space will be available through Gilbert’s, the restaurant will have its own entrance on Piedmont Avenue.

But when the restaurant does open this December, and a friend asks if you want to go to “10th and Piedmont,” you might find yourself asking, “which one?” That’s because 10th & Piedmont is opening across the street from 5 Napkin Burger’s successor, “10”.

Place your bets now: which restaurant do you think is going to change its name first?

  1. Looks great. The Five Napkin people really need to change the name. Their logo is atrocious and while I don’t love any name that references an intersection “10th and Piedmont” or “10P” is still better than just “10”.

  2. I agree with Keith. The name for the old 5NB space is stupid and the logo makes no sense. “990” (the street address) would be a better name than “10”.
