The restaurant’s holiday pop-up, at 1255 Johnson Ferry Road, will be open from Tuesday, November 20 through Monday, December 31, during regular business hours.
“From the icicle-covered patio space to the main dining area glowing with holiday warmth and an Instagram-worthy, kitschy photo room, each space will be uniquely decorated and yet will play into an over-the-top, cohesive vision as Red Sky offers the community a holiday story of its own,” according to a press release.
Chef Brian Kennington will present a tapas and entrees menu inspired by holiday dishes including Orange Glazed Smoked Duck Breast and Turkey Leg Confit alongside cocktails such as Cranberry Mules, Spiked Eggnog, and Vanilla Vodka Winter Wonderland.
“We’ve seen holiday pop-ups of this kind in Midtown Atlanta, Buckhead, and Decatur, and we thought, ‘why not here,’ Terry Kirby, proprietor of Red Sky Tapas & Bar, said in the release.
“We could not be more excited to introduce East Cobb’s first and only holiday pop-up bar…”
Kirby is referring to the Miracle on Monroe and Miracle on Highland holiday pop-up cocktail bars returning to in town Atlanta this year. A tiki-themed pop-up is also planned in Inman Park.
Red Sky Tapas is partnering with Northside Flower Imports and Jaime Roberts Design, LLC to completely transform the restaurant’s interior and exterior space into a tapas bar inspired by A Christmas Story.
The transformation will include a winter wonderland patio space with snowflakes, snow globes, and warm, white lights, California greens, garland, white poinsettias and mistletoe, over-the-top-decorated Christmas trees and wreaths, multi-colored string lights, oversized picture frames, themed props, holiday tunes on repeat, and maybe even a leg lamp.
