Georgio’s, a new high-end clothing store, is planned in Buckhead, at 3141 Piedmont Road. This retail storefront, owned by Justin Karam, will occupy the old Woodstock Mattress location, which unfortunately had to shut down due to the novel coronavirus pandemic. Karam co-owns the restaurant right next door, Red Pepper Taqueria.
Details surrounding Georgio’s, including plans to convert the space from a mattress store into the clothing retailer, are scant. While Karam confirmed the plans with What Now Atlanta (WNA), the entrepreneur did not provide project specifics. Before the spot was home to Woodstock Mattress, it was previously leased by WOLF Camera. Woodstock was opened for about three years.
Karam just recently finalized the lease for Georgio’s — which is listed as “Oxford Men’s Streetwear” in leasing details obtained this week by WNA — which became effective at the beginning of October. Driss Sanhaji of the Atlanta Business Brokers, LLC represented the tenant.
