Recently-Shuttered Bogartz Food Artz Set For Thai Conversion in Sandy Springs

New owner will transform restaurant into 'soon to open and exciting Thai and sushi' concept

After closing their less than two-year-old Bogartz Food Artz meat and three eatery in August (Tin Can Fish House before that), brothers Chef Bruce and Scott Bogartz have found an undisclosed buyer to take over the Sandy Springs space, at 227 Sandy Springs Pl NE Suite 502. The sales price was also not disclosed although the restaurant was listed for $99,000.

The Shumacher Group, Inc. and Steve Josovitz represented the seller and “spearheaded efforts between the seller, buyer, and landlord to close” the deal, according to an announcement Saturday outlining the purchase. “The buyer will transform Bogartz Food Artz Restaurant into a soon to open and exciting Thai and sushi restaurant and bar.” Josovitz when reached via email by What Now Atlanta could not comment on the incoming concept, he said.

Situated in The City Walk center, Bogartz Food Artz first debuted in November 2018. Bruce and Scott Bogartz were willing to have a new owner keep or convert the concept. “If we find a purchaser who is interested in buying and continuing to operate the actual concept, we will work actively towards the goal of sustaining the great food, drinks, and customer service which have been our pleasure to offer you,” according to the late-summer listing. “If the new owners choose to pursue a new concept, we are confident you will show them the same warm welcome you have shown us.”
