R. Thomas Deluxe Grill, the popular 24/7 restaurant at 1812 Peachtree Street NW, announced on its Facebook page Thursday morning that it suffered a small fire in the kitchen late Wednesday night and must temporarily close.

R. Thomas is family owned and operated by Richard Thomas, who opened the Brookwood neighborhood grill in the fall of 1985.

All of the birds that surround the lively restaurant are safe, but no other details of the damage were given.

Here’s the full statement from the restaurant:

“Good morning Atlanta friends! We are very sad to announce that our R. Thomas Deluxe Grill suffered a small fire in the kitchen wednesday night around 11:30pm and we will be temporarily closed until further notice. All Our beautiful Birds are fine and safe. Please continue to check back, as our Facebook page we will updated when we have a re-opening day. We appreciate your loyal patronage and can’t wait to serve you all again soon.”
