Real estate developer Brian Ferris is planning a two-story pizzeria tentatively called “Prima Serata Pizza” for the Piedmont Heights neighborhood of Atlanta.

Ferris, whose company developed Chestatee Golf Club, will bring the 5,271-square-foot restaurant to the Morningside by Windsor apartment community, at 1835 Piedmont Avenue.

While Ferris, when reached by phone, was not able to share project specifics with What Now Atlanta, he did confirm the plans.

“The restaurant is in the permitting process with the City of Atlanta, and plans, including the concept’s name, are still being finalized,” Ferris said.

“It’s too early to discuss the details.”

An estimated $1,100,000 could be spent building out Prima Serata as part of Morningside by Windsor’s under-construction second phase.

In addition to a 27,000-square-foot Sprouts Farmers Market anchor, other retail and restaurant tenants in the development include Tropical Smoothie Cafe and Morningside Nail Bar.

Morningside by Windsor first opened as Modera Morningside before then developer Millcreek sold the property to Windsor Property Management Co. in February 2018.
