On November 15, Posman Books will activate its future space, located across from Café Intermezzo, with a holiday-inspired pop-up shop.
In January, the retailer will temporarily close its doors for a three-month build-out period.
Once officially open in spring 2019, guests will experience Posman Books’ new store prototype—a “modern bookstore inspired by one of the most popular inventions of the late 1960s, the lava lamp.”
“The new store will place a strong emphasis on lighting, with a special focus on creating a warm, soothing space for shoppers to browse, skim and read,” according to the announcement.
Voted Best Bookstore by New York Magazine, the bookstore offers a selection of adult and children books, toys and games and greeting cards.
As part of the company’s expansion strategy to open a new store every year, the Alpharetta store will be the fourth permanent location.
Currently, Posman Books has one store in Atlanta at Ponce City Market and two others in New York City at Chelsea Market and Rockefeller Center.

Great additions – can’t wait to see which ones are selected for random acts of violence by our steady stream of new Atlanta residents!
I just read this morning that there have been seven incidents of gun violence at Lenox Mall this year.
Are you really thrilled about harmful acts created against our Buckhead community?
Pretty sure there was a bit of sarcasm involved in that comment.
