The duo this week filed a building permit application with City of Atlanta to buildout the 21,291-square-foot project in The Northyards development, at 384 Northyards Blvd NW, near Georgia Tech.

The Gathering Spot will replace a portion of the Bauder College campus.

“…we’ve taken a look at where people gather, whether for work or play, with friends or with strangers, and we’ve realized that something was missing,” according to the project’s website.

“There was no one place where we had a quiet place to finish some work assignments, meet friends or clients for drinks, grab a bite to eat and have cool cultural experiences. That’s why we created The Gathering Spot, and Northyards seemed to be the perfect place to converge all of the things that we found missing in our professional and social lives in one spot.”

Membership is by invitation only and includes “collaborative” work spaces, events and programs, “productivity tools” like wifi, and concierge services, among other amenities. Atlantans wishing to join the club can apply here.

An estimated $2,000,000 will be spent building out The Gathering Spot.
