Plans Filed For Eighth Ford Fry Concept

Marcel Steakhouse will replace Abattoir in West Midtown.

Ford Fry's latest concept Marcel Steakhouse is full steam ahead.

Plans were filed Wednesday with City of Atlanta for the European-inspired restaurant, at 1170 Howell Mill Road, in space formerly belonging to Anne Quatrano's Abattoir. Quatrano shuttered the seven-year-old White Provisions District eatery March 28.

Fry will remodel the dining area and restrooms but will leave the bar and kitchen as is.

An estimated $200,000 will be spent making the commercial alterations to the nearly 5,000-square-foot restaurant space on the Westside for the new steakhouse.

Marcel will be Fry’s eighth greater metro-Atlanta area restaurant. Fry owns and operates Jct. Kitchen, King + Duke, The Optimist, No. 246, The El Felix, Superica, and St. Cecilia.
