Space housing Piedmont Bar and Grill has been listed for lease, according to a newly-minted for-lease listing from The Shumacher Group.

The restaurant’s website indicates Piedmont Bar and Grill is temporarily closed “until further notice,” and the listing confirms the owners are looking to sell to “focus on multiple unit food hall restaurants.” The undisclosed owners are asking $125,000 in key money.

Rent for the 3,700 square-foot, fully-equipped restaurant and bar space, is $10,000 per month. Utilities are not included and a three percent “annual escalation” is part of the remaining four-year lease — although the landlord is open to a new lease with a new tenant, according to the listing.

“Perfect for any upscale, chef driven, farm to table, breakfast and lunch cafe, cutting edge or casual full-service concept works perfectly at this location,” according to the listing. “Landlord due to noise restrictions will not permit any hookah, live music venues, late night sports bars or jazz cafes that would involve loud music and late night business. This could be perfect for a Ghost Kitchen.”

Piedmont Bar and Grill quietly replaced Jai Ho Indian Kitchen and Bar at the base of the Belvedere condo building, at 560 Dutch Valley Rd NE, in early 2021.

  1. I have lost track of how many restaurants have opened and closed in this space. It seems like it’s a little too far off the beaten track and people forget it’s there.
