Tucked away inside Southern Belle (which opened last week in The Plaza on Ponce) and accessible only through a secret passageway behind a bookcase, Georgia Boy will offer four nightly seatings, each with eight guests, for a theatrical yet intimate showing of culinary panache and precision.

First, guests are welcomed into a private library area at the back of Southern Belle, where several courses are served.

Then, with a pull on a lever triggered by a copy of Roald Dahl’s James and the Giant Peach, the bookshelf swings open, and the private dining room of Georgia Boy is revealed.

For now, Georgia Boy offers two tasting menus – regular and vegan – for $125, though the 10- to 16-course menus will likely change with the seasons.

Reservations are required.
