“I am extremely excited to be a part of this growing PONKO Chicken team,” shared Linda Lam, owner and operator of PONKO Chicken Buckhead in a press statement.
Lam, along with Alex Lam, also owned and operated the Pokè Nookè that PONKO is replacing.
“The community has been extremely receptive of us over the past weeks throughout our soft opening and we are looking forward to celebrating our grand opening with everyone who will join us.”
During the grand opening celebration on Saturday, 50 free basic meals will be offered to the first 50 guests of the day.
Additionally, the full menu will be available for dine-in and take-out orders.
Dr. Patrick Sallarulo, PONKO Chicken’s Chairman and CEO, adds, “We are very proud and excited for this new location, Linda Lam and her amazing team. We are more than confident that they will uphold the quality and integrity of our product and are very excited to watch this location’s continued success.”
Founders, Maggie Antoine (Culinary Executive) and Reiko Clark (Brand Executive) joined forces with Dr. Patrick Sallarulo (Chairman and CEO) in 2017 to open their flagship PONKO Chicken Restaurant in Chamblee, Georgia.
In 2018, the three owners decided to take the concept to the masses by offering the opportunity to franchise, and the first PONKO Chicken franchise store opened its doors in Midtown in 2019.
PONKO Franchise Corporation currently has agreements to open more than 25 stores in various locations throughout the Atlanta Metropolitan Area.
