A Nobu Hotel/Restaurant and a 90,000 square-foot Life Time® Athletic facility are key elements of the planned expansion, first announced late-2017.
The new visuals are part of the project’s ever-changing marketing materials, following on-going critiques from the Buckhead Development Review Committee.
Details for a two-level food hall were also uncovered.
The 46,000-square-foot food hall would include 20 “food stalls” and an outdoor event space, according to the site plan.
It would be situated under Life Time® Fitness.
Construction is slated to begin in August 2018 including the demolition of the Belk Store with a phased opening beginning in spring 2020.
Nobu Atlanta is expected to debut in June 2020, according to the Phipps Plaza website.
Simon has transformed the high-end mall in recent years by adding hospitality and residential components including The AC Hotel Atlanta Buckhead and The Domain at Phipps Plaza.
