The Grant Park property where the restaurant was situated was foreclosed in 2014.
Peter Thomas, former husband to Cynthia Bailey of The Real Housewives of Atlanta fame, is reopening his Bar One concept in Atlanta. Bar One is a sister concept to Sports One and Club One in Charlotte.
The restaurant shuttered in 2014 after the property was foreclosed.
But the resatruant won’t be returning to its Grant Park home, at 687 Memorial Dr. SE. Instead, the tapas-style eatery and lounge will open at 29 Bell Street NE downtown.
A permit application was filed with City of Atlanta last week for the restaurant’s buildout. An estimated $385,000 will be spent converting the 5,100-square-foot space into Bar One, according to the filing.
Heather Kenney, president of The Peter Thomas Entertainment Group, in an email to What Now Atlanta (WNA) confirmed the news.
“Yes, we are making a return,” she said.
Besides confirming the plans, Kenney did not immediately respond to WNA’s request for comment.

I was just talking to a friend about this bar and the food. I was willing to travel to get their delicious salmon salad. When is the new bar supposed to open so I can be there.
