Perspire Sauna Studio later this year will open in Buckhead.
Shops at Pharr will welcome the California-based wellness brand in fall 2018.
The Buckhead Perspire Sauna Studio will be the company’s fifth location and first franchise outside of California.
“Perspire will be Atlanta’s first studio dedicated exclusively to infrared saunas, which studies show can help with boosting the immune system, weight loss, detoxification, stress relief, and a range of musculoskeletal conditions, including arthritis, acne, hypertension, metal poisoning, Lyme disease, and joint pain,” a company spokesperson in an email Tuesday told What Now Atlanta.
The saunas will also come equipped with chromotherapy technology, a method of treatment that uses the visible spectrum (colors) of electromagnetic light to “cure diseases.”
Perspire Sauna Studio Buckhead will have 11 private saunas which customers can reserve for an hour and will include cable TV, Pandora, and Netflix.
The Buckhead location franchise owners, Tiffany McKenzie (also a co-owner of local cycle studio, Vibe Ride), Nicole Smith, Angelia Duncan and Danielle Smith, join the Perspire team founded by Lee Braun and Ken Arsenian of Orange County, California.
“The infrared sauna is the safest, most gentle way to get direct heat therapy,” McKenzie said in a prepared statement.
“Infrared saunas heat the body from the inside out, so clients can stay in for up to 40 minutes and burn more calories than a two-mile run. A regular sauna is great, but you aren’t able to stay in it for long; that’s why I love adding infrared therapy to my wellness regime.”
Perspire’s pre-sales and specials will be announced within the coming weeks.
